New Beginning Outreach Ministries is a 501(c) 3 Non-Profit faith-based humanitarian organization. Incorporated in 1991 by C. Lewis and Patricia McNeil NBOM is a Ministry of Helps that is governed by a Board of Directors. The ministry's vision is to "Offer Hope to Others" through various humanitarian and evangelistic outreach projects that are geared towards helping others from a holistic viewpoint.

Located 12 miles northwest of Interstate 55 in St. Helena Parish, Louisiana, ministry headquarters are easily accessible from Zachary Taylor Parkway (LA 10).
New Beginning Outreach Ministries’ vision and goals are accomplished by following the patterns laid down by Jesus Christ in Matthew 25:31-46.

As ministry staff partner with other organizations, agencies and individuals, New Beginning Outreach continues to make a difference in many people's lived, including those who were adversely affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita and also those who were affected during the 2008 Hurricane season by Gustav and Ike.

Following Hurricanes Gustav/Ike, New Beginning Outreach became a partnering agency with the U.S. Administration for Children and Families and Catholic Charities USA. Through this avenue the ministry continues to offer case-management services to people who were affected by the storms.

Interestingly enough, the definition for the name Katrina is "purification." Rita means "pearl." The name Wilma (which was also a named hurricane during the 2005 season) clearly points to a person's will and/or desires.

With these definitions in mind, we are reminded that the "pearl," spoken of in Scripture, is a symbol of God's people. Truly we have entered into a time that those of us who are called by His name need to deal with our will and desires by allowing Him an opportunity to purify our hearts and minds.  As the entire United States continues to be buffeted by storms since 2005, this "purification" process has been taking place throughout our entire nation.

Joining forces with other agencies, organizations and individuals throughout Louisiana’s Region IX and beyond, NBOM has also been instrumental in the formation of The Benevolent Rural Alliance for Cultural and Environmental Strategies. Representatives of unmet needs and long term committees, as well as many other regional and state stakeholders have joined together to address needs and issues common to rural populations. Through this avenue, our goal is to impact improve and empower rural populations in their goal to obtain sustainable and self-sufficient lifestyles.
